Rand is a villager from the town of Milphe.
The night of Celica's arrival in Milphe, Rand and his daughter Alicia are attacked by the Black Foxes, a gang of bandits from the local countryside. The bandits take Alicia back to their hideout, leaving a wounded Rand to limp back to town on his own. Suri and Koun are able to treat his injuries upon his return, but it is Celica who must venture into the forest to rescue the girl.
